Be A Fan
Saturday, July 11 – (sheep, swine and goat)
Large animal project weigh in and tagging at the Benton County Fairgrounds – see details below.
There will be a specific time for each 4-H club to weigh in. The schedule of times will be provided soon. Requests for exceptions must go through superintendents.
Detailed instructions about required weights to be eligible to be tagged will be provided soon.
Only one market animal will be tagged per member.
If members have two of the same species, both can be weighed, but only one will be tagged. If possible, we ask that you choose your market auction animal prior to the weigh in (therefore, bringing only one animal to the weigh in).
Members don’t need to be present, however, if there are two animals being weighed, the person who brings the animals will have the authority to choose which animal is tagged.
All animals will be health checked by superintendents. Superintendent decisions are final.
All animals must be clean or will not be weighed.
Sunday, July 12 – beef weigh in 6am – 9am
Detailed instructions about required weights to be eligible to be tagged will be provided soon.
If member has more than two steers, they can weigh both animals, and then need to declare which one will be entered into the auction. If possible, we ask that you choose your market auction animal prior to the weigh in (therefore, bringing only one animal to the weigh in).
Members don’t need to be present, however, if there are two animals being weighed, the person who brings the animals will have the authority to choose which animal is tagged.
