Seasonal Part Time Position

Event Planning Opportunity!
The Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds is looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team! This position is designed to provide hands-on work experience in the planning and execution of a major community event.
The Event Planning seasonal position will play an active role in the development of the 2022 Benton County Fair & Rodeo.
Duties include (but are not limited too):
- Assist fairgrounds staff in logistical preparation for Benton County Fair (August 3 - 6, 2022)
- General office assistance, including answering telephones and responding to emails
- Providing customer service support in the Fair Office
- Coordinating fair contests and soliciting donations for prizes
Eligibility:
- To be eligible you must be reliable and be willing to commit to hours and time frame of this position. Experience with social media and general office work and great customer service.
- This is part-time position, up to 20 hours per week, and will increase to 30-40 hours per week during July & August. May include some evening and weekend work, particularly during the Benton County Fair.
We are looking for creative self-starters who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Rate of pay: $16-18 per hour depends on experience

Come Join Our Fairground Crew!
The Benton County Fairgrounds is looking for several Fairgrounds Crew Members to join the Event Production Team!
These temporary positions are estimated to be full time and part- time, including some nights and weekends, from the last week of June 2022 through the middle-end of August 2022. Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Grounds Maintenance - Watering and Mowing Lawns - Event Set Up/Clean Up - Light Building Maintenance - Custodial Duties - Staff events as needed
Eligibility: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be available during our 2022 County Fair (August 3rd-6th). Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively operate a lawn mower, line trimmer, and other standard gardening tools. Must be a team player.
Must possess a valid ID.
**Some duties may require you to lift, push, and/or pull up to (or possibly more than) 50lbs.
